Myanmar’s Democracy is under attack
As some of you may know, Myanmar’s Democracy is under attack by the military junta since February 2021. Myanmar community in US has been raising funds for our fellow Myanmar people back home to support and fight to restore back democracy.
Where is Myanmar?
Formerly known as Burma, Myanmar is a country in Southeast Asia. It is the largest country in Mainland Southeast Asia and has a population of about 54 million as of 2017. Myanmar is bordered by Bangladesh and India to its northwest, China to its northeast, Laos, and Thailand to its east and southeast.
Fundraising Events for Myanmar
Burmese Delight and Burmese House of Art have been participating in contributing to different fundraising groups around the globe, but wanted to share our local monthly fundraising events organized by the ODA (Overseas Democratic Alliance) and We Are One – Oregon.
